Never leave you baby to someone he has never met before. If you leave him with someone familiar then it can help reduce their anxierty. Leaving him to a relative or a friend might solve the problem. If the babysitter is a stranger to the baby, then don’t leave him with the sitter. This can be solved by letting the babysitter visit when you and your husband are both home. In this way, the babysitter will no longer be a stranger to your baby.
Something that can comfort the baby can be left with him when you go. The baby blanket or his t-shirt can calm him when he gets anxious. You baby can be comforted with his favorite soft toy. Baby’s wrapped in baby muslin wraps get relaxed the moment they are wrapped. If necessary, the baby sitter should be ready with the items that she can use to comfort your baby. Placing the item beside the baby will help them to sleep fast.
Making the baby comfortable and adjust to the place you are going to leave him will help. Stay for around half an hour before going out. By then they will get to know the people who will take care of them.
Sneaking away when the baby is not watching is not a good idea. If you are going away don’t ever forget to say good bye and let your baby know that you are about to leave. This will not make them get distressed when they finally realize that you are no longer there.
